Almost opaque ruby, paling to rim. Bright.
Alcoholic, peppery nose with some slightly sour, stewed forest fruits and redcurrants.
Medium to full-bodied, high (still slightly harsh) acidity, warmly alcoholic with nicely balanced, furry tannins. Flavours of stewed brambles with a fresh, leafy note. Long, intense, slightly dusty finish.
Very good, but needs food and probably another 2 to 3 years.
