1997 Puligny Montrachet, Ch de Meursault Perrieres

12th Aug 1999 GBP18 Burgundy Table White

Bright yellow/gold with a hint of green.
Classic buttery, toasty Chardonnay - deep but restrained on the nose with a touch of oak.
Dry, medium to full-bodied with tart acidity, lemon and butter flavours and a dash of integrated oak. Reasonable finish.
Good now, but a bit austere… give it another two to four years.
