1996 Elderton Shiraz

1st Aug 1999 GBP13 Australia Table Red

Very deep purple/red with gradual paling at rim.
Lifted, minty, alcoholic nose of mulberry fruit with a touch of new oak.
Very full bodied with over-the-top, pungent flavours of camphor, eucalyptus, black and white pepper. Bitter edges to the long, almondy finish. Lots of alcohol.
This is a big, crude, thumping beast at the moment - bravo! I loved it.
