1995 Gagliardo Barolo

Even brick red pinking slightly at rim.
Quite dusty, restrained nose with some straw, cardboard and a hint of berry fruit.
Medium to full-bodied, with flavours of ripe black cherries and bitter bark. Lots of fruity acidity, an undertow of ripe tannins and a long finish.
Attractive now, better in 5 years.
