A blend of Sangiovese (75%), Cab Sauv (20%) and Syrah. Red to brick red, quite pale with a heavy, bitty sediment. Intense nose of redcurrants/cassis and green leaf, a touch of spice and oak - very attractive. Full bodied and concentrated with layers of cassis, spice, oak and green tobacco. Sweet and sour acidity at the edges and nicely judged tannins. Hint of bitterness coming through on the finish. A delicious wine, best with red meats, enjoyable now but will last for a few more years.
