Wine tasting note: 1997 Nepenthe Lenswood Pinot Noir

1997 Nepenthe Lenswood Pinot Noir

24th Jul 1999 GBP11 Australia Table Red

Pale, even, red with gradual pinking to rim - viscous. Dusty and warm, with redcurrant fruit on the nose and traces of coffee and oak. Medium to full bodied with lovely, warm, spicy plum/black cherry flavours, fresh acidity and a fine, peppery, oaky finish. Superb, concentrated core of fruit with excellent balance. This is outstanding, young Pinot that should develop vegetal depths - very good indeed!
