Opened the previous night - I was kindly given this sample by Jimmy Chui in Glasgow. Bright and pale, fading to onionskin at rim. Subtle, integrated nose - earthy, damp, slightly vegetal with faint strawberry and apricot fruit - attractive. Medium bodied with upfront juicy acids, tart cherry fruit, soft tannins and a twist of bitter wood. Layered with a nice undercurrent of barnyard and mushrooms. Decent length. Tiring slightly (although it had been open overnight so maybe not) but still very good.
