1998 Carmen Reserve Pinot Noir

[Tasted Blind] Bright, even red - clear. Juicy, jammy nose with some gamey undercurrents. [Pinot or Gamay?] Bit thin. Very juicy, lively fruit on the palate with lots of red berries and a touch of green wood and tobacco. Quite dry with fine tannins and a decent finish. Acidity is quite high, so needs food, but lots of spice and pepper on the finish so it is drinking nicely now. [Spice points to Grenache but probably Pinot Noir]
