[Labelled as Monastrell, but has a 10% dash of Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged in French and US oak]. Bright, even ruby with pale pink rim. Rich, plummy nose with some mushroom and earth nuances and plenty of alcohol - nice balance. Medium to full bodied with good dusty tannins, crisp acids, mouthfilling sour plum, tobacco, cinnamon and oak flavours, and a dry, slightly short, finish. Drinking now, but needs some hard cheese or a rare steak. Don't think I would risk holding this too long.
