1996 Sainsbury Chateauneuf du Papes Galets Blancs

[Tasted Blind] Pale, even red/ruby to pink. Slightly dumb nose with a hint of violets/berry fruit. Medium to full bodied, dry and spicy with some undergrowth, sweet raspberries and white pepper flavours. Nice balance with tannins coming through on a reasonable finish. [OK for six quid, but nine is a bit pricy.]
