1996 Jayer Gilles Hautes Cotes de Beaune

Pale, even red.
Awesome, volatile, vegetal nose of resin, burnt rubber, strawberries and cream.
Light to medium bodied with sweet black cherry fruit, coffee grinds and a tang of resin/rubber.
Fresh and young with soft tannins, it is showing now but should develop over 2 to 3 years.
