1995 Val Ribeno Ribera del Duero Crianza

Deep, even, ruby red - good legs.
Attractive, fresh nose of blackcurrants and smoke.
Medium bodied with rich, leathery, meaty, cassis and sour cherry fruit.
Firm, ripe tannins and tart acidity balanced by layers of alcohol.
Long, warm, peppery finish.
Very good, but slightly hollow - just arrived and possibly shocked.
