1994 Garofoli Rosso Conero Grosso Agontano

2nd Mar 1998 GBP8 Italy Table Red

Deep garnet/purple to tawny/red rim. (Quite a heavy sediment - should have decanted).
Quite closed nose but black fruits and oak come creeping out - well developed with plenty of alcohol.
Full bodied with lots of up front sweet, cassis and smoky oak flavours, good acidity, firm tannins and a long meaty finish.
Brilliant!
