1994 Amethystos Ktima Kosta Lazaridi Cava

Deep ruby, paling at rim.
Rich nose of berry fruit and cream - soft and attractive.
Full bodied and ripe with flavours of creamy coffee, black berry/cherry fruits and oak.
Lots of alcohol and excellent balance of acidity and ripe tannins.
Long, tobacco finish.
Superb - Australia meets Bordeaux/Rhone. (This probably made sense at the time I wrote it!)
