Deep ruby/red gradually paling to brick red at rim - still plenty of life.
Rich, developed nose of figs and stewed black fruits, vanilla and oak, iron, mushrooms.
Full bodied with intense, stewed black fruits, lively,grapey acidity and firm, dry tannins. Quite rustic with lots of oak, excellent balance and a long, complex finish.
Very good now but still quite hard - could do with a few more years.
